On behalf of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, we have the pleasure to invite you to

a closed consultation on respecting the rights of LGBTI people in the context of business activities:

organized in collaboration with  the Polish Institute for Human Rights and Business and Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University

on 15 March 2024, at 14.00 – 15.30 CET (Zoom).

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the Working Group to seek the inputs on its forthcoming report to the 79th session of the Assembly General in October 2024 on respecting the rights of LGBTI people in the context of business activities: fulfilling obligations and responsibilities under the UNGPs.

With reference to the attached concept note for the consultation which includes questions to guide the discussion, the Working Group would welcome receiving participants’ views on elements and focus areas that it should consider for inclusion in this report, with specific emphasis of practical examples of positive practices.

The consultation will be opened and moderated by the current Vice-Chairperson of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, Fernanda Hopenhaym, Member leading on the consultation and drafting process for this report.The consultation will be held in English. We currently undertake effort to secure funds to cover the translation into other languages.
